Shankar Nagar Vidya Mandir is a co-educational English medium higher secondary school.The school is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education Raipur.
It was started in the year 1978 by the spirited group of Shankar Nagar Housing Board Residents’ Association to cater the educational needs of the children living in the locality. Shankar Nagar Vidya Mandir is a dream come true of some senior and foresighted residents of shankar nagar, who visualised the school different from any other school of Raipur. The school has grown and bloomed tremendously all these years. The first batch appeared the high school exam in 1995 and the higher secondary board exam in 1999.The school now has commerce and science facilities with well equipped science laboratory, library and a computer lab.
